International Maritime Industries (IMI) and Lamprell have entered into an agreement for the manufacturing of a series of offshore structures, including production platforms and jackets, at IMI’s shipyard in Ras Al-Khair, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement marks the first time that production platforms and jackets will be manufactured at the yard and represents an important milestone in the continued development of the strategic relationship between IMI and Lamprell, a founding shareholder of IMI.
According to Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Chief Executive Officer of IMI, “This agreement is a defining step in our journey beyond the newbuild and repair of rigs and ships. By taking on the fabrication of offshore structures for the first time, we are demonstrating the depth and versatility of our capabilities.”
