Building a semiconductor factory is an extraordinary engineering undertaking. Keeping it supplied and running is an equally demanding logistics undertaking. The equipment is costly and sensitive, materials must meet exacting requirements, and production schedules leave little room for uncertain arrivals.

India's efforts to establish a broader semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem are therefore creating an opportunity that extends well beyond factory construction. They require specialized transportation, customs expertise, installation support, secure handling, and reliable connections to global suppliers.

NX Group brought that message to SEMICON India 2026 and announced a memorandum of understanding with the India Semiconductor Mission. Signed on September 18 and detailed in an October 13 release, the agreement establishes a framework for exchanging information and exploring cooperation on semiconductor cargo and supporting logistics infrastructure.

This is not an announcement that a new end-to-end logistics network has already been completed. It is evidence that policymakers and logistics providers are treating physical supply chain capability as an essential part of industrial development.
