GRSE has delivered INS Amini, the fifth of eight anti-submarine shallow water craft, to the Indian Navy with over 80% indigenous content.
INS Amini, the latest anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft (ASW SWC) from Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), has joined the Indian Navy after a handover at Kattupalli in Tamil Nadu on November 5, 2026.
The warship is the fifth of the eight ASW SWCs being built by the Kolkata-based shipyard for the Indian Navy.
The Indian Navy announced the delivery in a post on the social media platform X, while the Ministry of Defence said that the vessel would strengthen the Navy’s anti-submarine, coastal surveillance and mine-laying capabilities.
According to reports, Amini measures about 77.6 metres in length and has a shallow draught of around 2.7 metres.
