Japan Gets its First Coal Carrier Equipped with WAPS

Compared with conventional heavy fuel oil-fired vessels, the vessel is expected to significantly reduce GHG, NOx, and SOx emissions by using LNG fuel. The combined effect of the LNG dual-fuel main engine and the Wind Challenger WAPS can significantly reduce emissions.
