Kalmar’s orders received rose by 22% in the third quarter of 2026, supported by a continued recovery in North American equipment demand and increased orders for its eco portfolio, although lower sales weighed on quarterly profit.

The cargo-handling equipment maker received orders worth €458m in July–September, up from €375m a year earlier. In geographical terms, of total orders received in Q3, 45% (49% Q3 2025) came from EMEA, followed by 39% (32% Q3 2025) from the Americas, which saw a 50% increase year-on-year, and 16% (19%Q3 2025) percent from the APAC. Kalmar noted that the growth in North America was driven by the equipment segment, while Services demand remained sluggish. Moving forward, the company expects North American market to stay stable in the upcoming two quarters.

Kalmar’s third-quarter sales edged down 1% to €433m from €436m a year earlier, with the decline in Equipment sales partly offset by 2% growth in Services. The company noted that the services segment share of sales in Q3 was 35%, which is providing resilience to the company’s overall revenue. Eco portfolio sales fell 7% to €187m, reducing their share of consolidated sales to 43% from 46%.

Operating profit fell to €52m from €61m, with the operating margin narrowing to 12.0% from 13.9%. The result included €4m in negative items affecting comparability, compared with a €1m positive impact a year earlier. Net profit fell to €39m from €45m a year earlier.
