VD Satheesan, Chief Minister Kerala has reviewed the roadmap for Mission Samudra, a state initiative aimed at fortifying maritime infrastructure and improving logistics linkage, as per a press release. The programme, which was allocated Rs. 400 crore in the 2026–27 state budget, seeks to link ports and waterways with road and rail networks, industrial centres, and logistics hubs. The proposed integration is intended to improve cargo flow and strengthen links between port facilities and inland destinations. By bringing transport networks and logistics infrastructure closer, Mission Samudra could support more efficient movement of goods across the state. Its logistics focus centres on improving connectivity, supporting trade, and creating stronger links between maritime gateways and the state’s wider transport network.
