Global logistics giant Kuehne+Nagel reported growth across all four of its business units for the third quarter of 2026. The company attributed the uptick to higher volumes and surging demand for airfreight coming from the cloud infrastructure and semiconductor markets. Kuehne+Nagel posted a net turnover of CHF7.4 billion (USD9 billion) in the third quarter of the year, jumping 22 percent compared to the same quarter in 2025. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 53 percent to CHF435 million (USD530 million), with earnings also jumping 53 percent to CHF 316 million (USD384 million).

Air Logistics was a standout performer during the third quarter, with net turnover rising 38 percent to CHF2.4 billion (USD2.9 billion). EBIT jumped 84 percent to CHF169 million (USD204 million), with the division handling 1.7 million tonnes of air freight in the first nine months of the year.

The key driver of the growth, according to Kuehne+Nagel, was the demand from cloud infrastructure and semiconductor customers.

Sea Logistics unit has also returned to growth following a first quarter of the year that was hit by the disruption in the Middle East. Net turnover for the unit jumped 20 percent stopping the needle at CHF2.7 billion (USD3.3 billion). EBIT grew 55 percent to CHF172 million (USD208 million).
