Lindblad Expeditions is close to finalizing plans to add ships to its fleet, CEO Natalya Leahy said on the company’s third quarter earnings call Tuesday, but she asked investors to wait a little longer for details.
“As we talked about on the last couple of calls, we also work on adding ships to our fleet,” Leahy said. “We’re not ready to share yet, but we’re very close to finalizing our plans in that regard. And I just ask us all to be a little patient with that.”
She was answering an analyst who asked whether new capacity would come from building, buying or chartering vessels.
“We have seen mid-single-digit capacity growth this year, mainly from our optimization of deployment, but also from significant expansion of our charters,” she said. “And we will continue to see mid-single-digit capacity growth on our charter-expanded business going forward.”
