Lufthansa Cargo, SWISS WorldCargo, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore closer cooperation in the air cargo market between Japan and Europe.
The agreement establishes a framework for the four carriers to assess opportunities for greater network connectivity, additional cargo capacity and more flexible routing options.
The discussions could also lead to the revival and expansion of the previous cargo joint venture between Lufthansa Cargo and ANA, which was suspended in September 2023.
For now, the companies are evaluating potential areas of cooperation rather than introducing new joint services.
