Maersk will introduce a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for refrigerated cargo moving from the Far East, Middle East and Americas to Tema, Ghana.
The surcharge will take effect on 16 November 2026. For regulated countries, it will apply from 1 December 2026.
For non-SPOT bookings, Maersk will determine the rate using the Price Calculation Date. For non-FMC shipments, this is the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at booking confirmation.
For FMC shipments, the PCD is the final container gate-in date. The surcharge does not apply to SPOT bookings.
