Maersk has revised its Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from Europe to South Africa.
The amended rates apply from 29 October 2026 and will remain in effect until further notice. Mozambique is excluded from the destination scope.
The PSS remains at US$225 per container for all 20-foot equipment. However, Maersk has reduced the surcharge for all 40- and 45-foot containers to zero.
The revised tariff covers dry, high-cube dry, bulk, collapsible flat rack, flat rack, hive, pallet-wide, open-top, tank and twin-deck equipment.
