Parc BV repairs submerged doors on TSHD Vox Amalia

Parc BV carried out various repairs on the submerged doors of Van Oord's trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Vox Amalia recently.

In addition to repairing damage and cracks, they also completely replaced a section of the existing rubber.

"From inspection and preparation to removing old material and custom-cutting new rubber: every step required precision, craftsmanship, and close coordination with the work being done at the shipyard," said Leen van Mourik, managing director at Parc BV.

The dredger has a hopper volume of approximately 18,000 cubic meters and is equipped with two suction pipes with submerged e-driven dredge pumps, two shore discharge dredge pumps, and six bottom doors.
