Over the first nine months of 2026, Oman’s Asyad Shipping Company and its subsidiaries reported gross revenue of OR 277.4 million, compared with OR 252.8 million in the same period of 2025, an increase of 10%. The net profit after tax increased to OR 67.7 million, up from OR 32.6 million in the corresponding period of 2025, a jump of 107%. This very strong performance was primarily driven by higher freight and time charter rates, particularly for its crude oil tanker and liner shipping business segments, alongside contributions from new vessel deliveries.
The past few months have been very active for Asyad Shipping from a fleet development perspective. The company has ordered a total of eight MR type product tankers since July this year, all supported by five-year time charter contracts. The company has also taken delivery of two baby Capesize and two Kamsarmax vessels to boost its bulk carrier operations.
