Rhenus Group has expanded its logistics operations in China with a new office in Fuzhou, focusing on renewable energy equipment and e-commerce supply chains.
The facility is the company’s first office in Greater China to establish dedicated business activities in both sectors. It will support Chinese exporters through international freight transportation, warehousing, customs clearance and distribution services.
Located in Fujian province, the office will serve as a hub for developing new-energy logistics projects across China. In particular, Rhenus will focus on battery energy storage systems (BESS), with Europe as its primary target market and South America as a secondary destination.
The nearby Port of Xiamen will play an important role in supporting outbound BESS shipments.
