Ryder expands Detroit truck rental and maintenance facility
Ryder's Roseville, Mich., facility supports manufacturers, automotive suppliers, distributors and transportation companies throughout the region.
Ryder System has expanded a commercial truck rental and maintenance facility outside Detroit to better support customers in the area. The Roseville, Mich.-based location was expanded by 11,700 square feet. The facility supports manufacturers, automotive suppliers, distributors and transportation companies throughout the region. Ryder said the additional capacity will help a local industrial economy that is facing increased supply chain pressures and provide more customer amenities. “The Detroit area remains a major manufacturing market in the country,” said Tom Havens, president of Fleet Management Solutions at Ryder. “This investment allows us to better support the businesses that keep products, parts and materials moving throughout the region.” Ryder views the updated facility as expanding its service capacity in a strategic industrial corridor by providing businesses with greater access to services. The Roseville location features nine truck workstations across four drive‑through bays and a half-bay. These are supported by a two‑lane fuel island accessible 24 hours a day. Customers also have access to commercial truck rental services, maintenance tools and a self‑service check‑in kiosk. “By adding capacity closer to our customers, we can provide greater access to maintenance and rental services that help customers reduce downtime, improve fleet availability and keep operations running efficiently,” Havens said.
