Union Minister Nitin Gadkari performed the bhoomipujan of an MMLP at Sindi Railway, Maharashtra, aimed at improving export linkage and reducing cargo transportation costs, as per a press release. Developed by National Highways Logistics Management Limited and JNP across 150 acres, the facility will link regional cargo with global markets through the authority. The park is likely to support exports of cotton, textiles, oranges, and vegetables from Vidarbha, including shipments to Bangladesh via Haldia. The project is likely to reduce container transportation costs from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹1 lakh. Planned facilities include warehouses, cold storage, exporter clusters, and a customs office. The first rake carrying Maruti cars has already started from the site, according to the government.
