Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited has disbursed ₹5,107 crore against financing sanctions of ₹11,563 crore as India expands dedicated funding for maritime infrastructure. The corporation targets cumulative disbursements of ₹60,205 crore by FY2031, while preparations advance for the Maritime Investment Fund’s targeted ₹5,000 crore first close in January 2027.

SMFCL maritime finance operations are expanding across ports, shipbuilding and logistics infrastructure, with the corporation reporting ₹5,107 crore in disbursements as of 30 September 2026.

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the corporation’s office at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development in New Delhi, providing a permanent base for India’s first dedicated maritime non-banking financial company.

SMFCL has sanctioned financing of ₹11,563 crore. The difference between sanctions and disbursements indicates a substantial pipeline of approved financing awaiting drawdown as projects progress.
