How quickly can you redesign your supply chain when disruption changes the rules?

Geopolitical instability, tariffs, rising costs and shifting trade flows are no longer temporary disruptions you can simply plan around. They are changing where it makes sense to source, manufacture, stock and distribute. Yet new research shows that many supply chain organisations are still struggling to evaluate these structural changes quickly enough.

The 2026 Supply Chain Design & Resilience Survey, conducted by Supply Chain Media in partnership with Optilogic, benchmarks the capabilities of 144 senior supply chain professionals worldwide. The results reveal a striking gap between the organisations that can model their next move quickly and those that are still waiting for answers when decisions need to be made.

Only 18 per cent of organisations can evaluate a major supply chain network change within days or hours. Meanwhile, 57 per cent need between one and six weeks, and another 25 per cent take even longer.
