The 2026 Decision Intelligence market is best interpreted through provider archetypes rather than a single universal ranking. The category is forming at the intersection of several established markets, so products can sit near one another competitively while solving materially different decision problems. Four broad archetypes help explain those differences.
These platforms create decision depth through scenario modeling, constraints, tradeoff analysis, planning logic, and optimization. They are often strongest when the decision can be represented mathematically and when the buyer needs to compare feasible futures before committing resources. The provider archetypes are easier to interpret against the physical logistics intelligence-layer model, because each archetype begins from a different position in the path from operating signal to coordinated decision and action.
These providers begin with changing external or operational state: shipment events, supplier risk, weather, geopolitical signals, milestones, or network disruptions. Their differentiation depends on whether they can move beyond awareness into consequence assessment, prioritization, recommendation, and coordinated response.
This group focuses on the workflow between insight and action. It may combine contextual data assembly, agentic work, recommendations, approvals, and execution connectivity across multiple systems. The buyer test is whether the orchestration materially improves the decision rather than simply moving tasks between applications.
