The UK P&I Club and TT Club today announce the successful completion of their joint acquisition of the Thomas Miller Holdings group, marking a major milestone in the creation of the United Transport Mutual.
The acquisition, which completed on 21 October 2026, represents a significant strategic step towards establishing a fully integrated and efficient management structure for the merged organisation. By bringing together the strengths, expertise and capabilities of both Clubs and Thomas Miller under a unified mutual model, the transaction creates a strong foundation for United Transport Mutual, which will be established through the merger of the UK P&I Club and TT Club on 20 February 2027.
United Transport Mutual will combine the complementary strengths of the two Clubs to create a leading transport and logistics mutual, supported by an integrated management structure designed to enhance service, innovation and long-term value for members
Jan Valkier, Chairman, UK P&I Club, said: “Completing this acquisition is a defining moment for both the UK P&I Club and the TT Club. Bringing Thomas Miller into mutual ownership means that the expertise and service our Members rely on now sit fully within the mutuals, with the value created being retained for their benefit of our Members.”
