Consolidated revenue increased by 6.7% to US$22.9 billion. Operating profit reached US$1.7 billion, while adjusted operating profit was US$2.1 billion.
UPS reported diluted earnings of US$1.37 per share. Adjusted diluted earnings stood at US$1.69 per share.
The reported results included a net charge of US$279 million. This comprised transformation costs and a goodwill impairment charge in Supply Chain Solutions, partly offset by a gain from the sale of MD-11 assets.
