Volvo Trucks has launched the VNX, a new vocational truck also available as a tractor in day cab and two sleeper configurations, with one heavy-haul model. The Volvo VNX is powered by Volvo's D13 platform, which delivers up to 540 horsepower and 1,950 pound-feet of torque and is EPA 2027-compliant.

Volvo Trucks North America revealed the new VNX on October 14, debuting three variants of its new vocational model during a live digital event. The VNX offers two sleeper cab options and a daycab vocational platform that can serve as a tractor or a straight truck.

This marks Volvo's third truck launch in three years, following the Volvo VNL debut in 2024 and the Volvo VNR in 2025. However, of the three, the VNX is the only one designed for off-highway use.

“This is Volvo like you’ve never seen before," said Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.
