The Norwegian headquartered and Oslo-listed car carrier operator Wallenius Wilhelmsen has entered a three-year shipping contract with a ‘leading’ Asian auto manufacturer.
The contract, as announced in a stock exchange filling, is valued at approximately US$700m over the initial three-year period with the rates being in line with current market levels.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen said the agreed contract includes a two-year extension option, subject to mutual agreement.
The shipping contract agreement incorporates a multi-fuel approach across all trade lanes, designed to accommodate the gradual introduction of alternative and lower-emission fuels.
