Wärtsilä and WinGD have signed a new long-term Service Framework Agreement to ensure continued technical support and maintenance services for two-stroke marine engines operating across the global shipping fleet.
Announced on October 23, 2026, the agreement reinforces a service relationship established in 2015 and confirms Wärtsilä’s continued position as an authorised global service provider for WinGD, Wärtsilä and Sulzer-branded two-stroke engines.
Under the agreement, shipowners and operators will retain access to the service capabilities of both companies, including technical expertise, maintenance support and lifecycle services designed to support engine reliability and operational continuity.
The arrangement also aims to help vessel operators plan maintenance activities and prepare their fleets for evolving marine technologies, alternative fuels and decarbonisation requirements.
