WEC Lines will add a fourth vessel to its North West Continent–Canary Islands (NWC CAI) service.

The expansion will strengthen connections between Northern Europe, Portugal, Spain and the Canary Islands.

Following the addition, WEC Lines will operate the service with four vessels of 868 TEU each. The ships will complete a 28-day rotation.

According to WEC Lines, the additional vessel will reduce operational pressure and improve schedule reliability. It will also provide greater flexibility for import and export cargo across the carrier’s short-sea network.
