Wex Adds Cardless Fuel Payments for Over-the-Road Customers

A new fuel card feature for Wex customers offers convenience and security.

Wex has launched cardless fuel payments for its over-the-road customers. The new capability lets drivers generate a secure, single-use fuel code in the Wex CardControl app, so they can fuel up quickly without a physical fuel card.

Physical fuel cards can be subject to fuel card fraud. Lost, stolen, shared, or skimmed cards can lead to unauthorized charges, driver downtime, and added administrative burden.

Cardless fuel payments are designed to close those gaps, giving drivers and fleet managers one of the most secure ways available to pay at the pump.
