Cadeler has secured a contract to provide additional vessel capacity for the transportation and installation of 87 turbines at Dogger Bank C, the third phase of the UK offshore wind farm.
The Danish firm’s newbuild installation vessel Wind Apex will join the installation campaign from the third quarter of 2027, marking its first operational deployment following delivery from the shipyard.
It will work alongside an existing installation vessel to support the transportation and installation of Dogger Bank C’s 87 turbines. The vessel will also be available for deployment across the project’s other phases, Dogger Bank A and B.
Located around 130 km off England’s northeast coast, Dogger Bank is being developed in three 1.2-GW phases. The completed 3.6 GW wind farm will comprise three separate arrays and is expected to generate enough electricity to power around six million UK homes annually.
