China’s XCMG has revealed a new autonomous vehicle for moving trailers efficiently around industrial parks.
Called the SDA411, the new machine has no cabin and an L4 autonomous driving system purpose-built for ‘unmanned logistics’. “Its 360° perception system enables autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, task execution and parking, supporting continuous mixed-traffic operations in demanding environments,” XCMG said in a statement.
The SDA411 features a battery-electric drive system. XCMG said it is designed for closed-site industrial park applications where “the next challenge is not only moving goods efficiently, but doing so with fewer manual interventions and lower emissions”. No information is available on its load and power ratings at this stage.
