
The remaining traffic restrictions at the Rubí tunnel near Barcelona have been lifted after months of disruption for Mediterranean Corridor freight and traffic to and from the city’s port. However, the tunnel is not out of the works programme yet, with Spain’s transport ministry awarding a separate 20.8 million-euro contract for its longer-term structural rehabilitation just as normal operations resume.
