Radia has added two more aerospace suppliers to its WindRunner ultra-large cargo aircraft project as it continues to build the core industrial network behind the project.
It has signed agreements with France-headquartered Latecoere and UK-based Stirling Dynamics to support the development of key aircraft systems as WindRunner moves into the next phase of development.
Latecoere will support the aircraft’s electrical systems, while Stirling Dynamics will contribute expertise in flight controls, simulation and engineering. The companies join more than 20 suppliers and technology partners already involved in the programme.
‘Exciting opportunities’
Radia is developing WindRunner as a potential new solution for moving oversized cargo, including large wind energy components, defence equipment and other industrial loads that can challenge existing transport networks.
