APM Terminals Pipavav Handles Longest Vessel Ever

APM Terminals Pipavav has welcomed the MV OOCL Malaysia, the longest vessel ever to call at Pipavav Port, marking a significant operational milestone for the terminal. With an overall length of 367 metres, the vessel’s arrival highlights the port’s growing capability to handle larger ships efficiently and safely.

The vessel call involved 1,756 container moves and was completed smoothly, reinforcing the terminal’s focus on safe, seamless and high-performance operations. The achievement reflects strong coordination across the Commercial, Marine, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Safety, Security and Support teams, all of whom worked together to ensure the call was executed without disruption.

The milestone also underscores the terminal’s ability to manage complex vessel operations through careful planning and precise execution.
