Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, has achieved another operational milestone by loading 38,500 metric tonnes of bentonite on MV BUZZARD in 22 hours and 25 minutes. The loading operation began at 4:05 pm on July 2 and was completed at 2:30 pm on July 3, highlighting the port’s focus on speed, efficiency and cargo handling performance.

The record operation was made possible through the coordinated efforts of multiple stakeholders, including Ashapura Stevedores, Spartans Marine Services, Balaji Infraport, and the exporters Gimpex Imerys India Private Limited and Bharat Abrasives and Chemical Industries. Their combined effort ensured smooth execution, faster vessel turnaround and reliable logistics support for the trade.
