Viracopos receives 6 aircraft with 522 tons of equipment from singer Harry Styles

Between the 8th and 11th of July, the Cargo Terminal (TECA) at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), received six Boeing 747 aircraft carrying approximately 522 tons of equipment for singer Harry Styles’ shows. The arrival of the materials strengthens TECA as one of the main gateways to major international events in Brazil.

After disembarking and customs procedures at the airport, the palletized volumes (grouped loads, such as boxes, bales or bags, fixed on pallets) were released for road transport in trailers to the presentation location in São Paulo.

The British singer will perform at the Morumbis stadium, on the 17th, 18th, 21st and 24th of July, in shows that are part of his Together, Together world tour. After the presentations, Viracopos will also carry out equipment export operations, which will take place from the day after the last show. The terminal team is prepared to process large volumes of cargo for mega events.

The terminal also recently received equipment for shows by Shakira, Bad Bunny, Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Linkin Park, Chapell Roan, Lewis Capaldi, Deftones, Interpol, Lorde and Turnstile recently. Equipment from the show of singers Madonna and Karol G, among other artists, was also processed.

Cargo Airport of the Year

On June 25, Viracopos International Airport was awarded the Cargo Airport of the Year award at the 2026 edition of the ACW Awards, in a ceremony held at the New International Exhibition Center in Shanghai, China. With this decoration, the airport became two-time champion, as it also won the world award in the 2024 edition.

Viracopos competed in the Regional Cargo Hub category (up to 1 million tons/year) and stood out for being the only South American airport selected as a finalist in the competition. The ACW Awards is one of the main global awards in the area of ​​air logistics and recognizes airlines, airports, cargo agents, customs brokers, sales agents and logistics service providers.

In addition to having a large and modern structure for moving, storing and releasing cargo, the airport is responsible for handling around 1/3 of all air cargo that arrives in Brazil.
