GEODIS has expanded its road transport fleet in Italy with the deployment of two next-generation CO₂ tankers, strengthening its capabilities in the transportation of industrial gases across Italy and Europe.
The new vehicles entered service on 1 July and are based in Cormano. They form part of GEODIS’ fleet of 20 CO₂ tankers, with the company planning further fleet modernization to meet evolving market demand.
The tankers are equipped with a range of safety technologies, including anti-rollover systems, ABS/EBS braking systems, automated semi-trailer braking during reversing, automatic braking during unloading when the rear door is open, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
GEODIS said the vehicles also feature new-generation rolling and cryogenic components that reduce maintenance requirements and improve vehicle availability. Their optimized design increases payload capacity while lowering tare weight, helping improve route efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and lower carbon intensity.
The investment supports the company’s strategy to modernize its fleet and strengthen its transport services for the industrial gas sector.
