ONE launches Mediterranean Africa Express service

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has launched the new Mediterranean Africa Express (MAX) service to strengthen direct connections between West Africa and major global trade routes.

The new weekly service will begin on 7 July 2026.

The rotation includes Algeciras – Tangier – Dakar – Tema – Lekki – Abidjan – Algeciras.

ONE said the service will provide dedicated direct connections between West Africa and its Mediterranean hub network.

Through the hubs at Algeciras and Tangier, customers will gain access to services connecting the Far East, Northern Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, North America and Latin America.

The carrier said the new service responds to growing demand for reliable shipping links and greater supply chain flexibility in West Africa.

Customers will also benefit from onward connections across ONE’s global network, helping simplify cargo movements and improve transit options.

Hosaka, Managing Director of ONE (Europe), said the company remains committed to investing in Africa.

He said the MAX service strengthens links between West Africa and key global trade lanes while providing customers with seamless access to ONE’s international network.
