Cocaine hidden in a load of tomato sauce is seized at the Port of Santos

Last Friday (3), the Federal Police (PF) and the Federal Revenue Service (RFB) seized 9.6 kg of cocaine in the Port of Santos. The drug was hidden in a shipment of tomato sauce that was to be sent to Australia.

The material was located by Federal Revenue teams during an inspection, while the cargo was waiting to be placed in a container for shipment.

After the discovery, the PF carried out an investigation at the site. Then, all the drugs were collected and sent to the corporation’s headquarters. The Federal Police Station in Santos has already launched an investigation to investigate the circumstances of the crime and identify those responsible for international trafficking.

So far, no one has been arrested.
