The increase in the pharmaceutical segment, which boosted the results of the first half, is the result of the improvement in the sector’s infrastructure, carried out by the concessionaire ABV in recent years. In addition to the infrastructure, Viracopos renewed, at the beginning of 2026, the international CEIV Pharma certification, valid until 2028, reinforcing its position as one of the main airports in Latin America for importing and exporting products from the pharmaceutical industry. In the first quarter, National Cargo movement recorded the best result in volume with 21.7 thousand tons in the first three months of the year, this being the best result in the last ten years.

In the import sector, the increase in the first quarter reached 1.7%, with 23.3 thousand tons compared to the 22.9 thousand tons accumulated in January, February and March 2025. In exports, Viracopos recorded an increase of 15.3%, with 22.6 thousand tons in the first three months of 2026, an increase compared to 19.6 thousand in the same period last year.
