TCP, the company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal, announced Claire Li as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Claire has extensive experience in finance, investments and port operations and says she is committed to empowering more women so they can build a future in the port sector.
The CFO holds a master’s degree in accounting from a renowned national university of finance and economics in China and is a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants. He began his career at China Merchants Port (CMPort), a company listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange and a subsidiary of China Merchants Group (CMG). He later assumed senior financial leadership roles across several CMG platforms, including serving as CFO of an Africa-based industrial park and Vice President in the global infrastructure investment transactions team.

Claire highlights that a key focus of her leadership is encouraging women to be courageous and open-minded as they advance in their careers. “Our unique interpersonal skills, such as collaboration and empathy, bring a thoughtful balance to the Terminal’s complex operations, generating real value for cross-border port management”, declares the executive.
The Financial Director highlights that women represent around 24% of the company’s workforce and that there is a huge potential in female participation that is untapped “TCP has strong women working on various fronts, whether in operational or administrative roles. We have incredible stories of women with more than 20 years in the company who started at the initial levels, developed their careers and became references in their areas. I am committed to empowering more women so that they can stand out, develop their skills and thus build a diverse future for our ports”, he highlights.
Expansion moment
TCP is currently going through a period of expanding operations and strengthening its operations in foreign trade. In 2025, the Terminal recorded a record volume equivalent to 1.663 million 20-foot containers (TEU) handled, reaffirming its position as the largest container terminal in the Southern Region of Brazil and the third largest in the country. In 2026, TCP reached the historic milestone of 20 million TEUs handled throughout its 28-year history, with half of this volume recorded in the last decade alone.
