Ruby Princess Returns to San Francisco After 20-Night Cruise to Alaska – Cruise Industry News

The Ruby Princess returned to its homeport in San Francisco in early July to complete a 20-night cruise to Alaska and British Columbia.

As one of the longest itineraries offered by Princess Cruises in the region, the voyage included visits to 12 destinations.

Sailing roundtrip from California, the itinerary was highlighted by stops in off-the-beaten-path ports of call for large ships, such as Valdez and Wrangell.

The cruise also featured visits to traditional destinations in Alaska, including Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Seward and Sitka.

Other highlights of the itinerary included scenic cruising near Endicott Arm Fjord, Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park.

Before returning to San Francisco, the Ruby Princess also made a short call to Prince Rupert in Canada’s British Columbia region.

Continuing its summer season in Alaska and the West Coast, the 3,100-passenger ship is now set to offer a series of ten-night cruises from its year-round homeport in California.

As part of Princess’s “Inside Passage” itinerary, the vessel sails to a range of destinations in the region, including Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan, Prince Rupert, Skagway and Juneau.

In September, the Ruby Princess kicks off a winter season that includes cruises to California, Hawaii and the Mexican Riviera.

The deployment is highlighted by the company’s seven-night “Classic California Coast” itinerary, which sails to Los Angeles, San Diego, Ensenada and Catalina Island.

In addition to 16-night cruises to Hawaii, the vessel offers a series of cruises to the Mexican Riviera during the 2026-27 season.

The ten-night itineraries feature visits to Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, as well as Manzanillo.

Continuing its year-round cruising out of San Francisco, the Ruby Princess is scheduled to offer Pacific Northwest cruises in early 2027 before returning to Alaska and British Columbia for the summer.
