Contship, through its subsidiary Sogemar, has signed an agreement to acquire the Tarros Group, a Mediterranean maritime transport and integrated logistics operator. The acquisition aims to strengthen Contship’s integrated logistics platform across the Euro-Mediterranean region and create new opportunities along logistics corridors linking Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.

Founded in 1828 and headquartered in La Spezia, Italy, the Tarros Group provides door-to-door transport services through an integrated logistics network. It employs 751 people and serves 2,700 customers. Its network spans 16 countries and 31 ports, connecting Europe with countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

The agreement covers the entire Tarros Group, including its operating companies and assets. These comprise Tarros S.p.A. and its foreign subsidiaries, Terminal del Golfo S.p.A., Car Box S.r.l., Compagnia Marittima Servizi S.r.l. and Med Logistics Malta Ltd. Their activities span maritime services, port handling and inland transport.

The transaction remains subject to approval by the relevant authorities and other conditions. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. The parties will provide further updates as the transaction progresses.
