The Shire of Gingin said that the dredging works at Lancelin will begin on Saturday, November 7, with mobilization and delivery of the dredge to be undertaken this week.
The dredging works will be undertaken in an area adjacent to the Lancelin Jetty, with dredged sand to be deposited on the foreshore in the vicinity of Harold Park (near the Lancelin Sands Hotel).
According to the Shire, Gingin Road between Shell Street and the Lancelin Sands Hotel in Lancelin will be closed for one day on Monday 2 November between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
"There will be a section of beach north of the jetty requiring temporary closure this weekend October 31 - November 1 to enable pipe works to be undertaken, full beach access will be reinstated after the weekend," the Shire said.
