The Port of Lázaro Cárdenas has welcomed Eastern Car Liner, a Japanese shipping company specialising in the transport of automobiles, heavy vehicles, construction equipment and project cargo, with the MV Malaysia Brave making its inaugural call on October 24 at Multipurpose Terminal II, operated by LC Logistics.

During the inaugural call, 2,906 units were discharged, comprising 2,640 automobiles alongside 266 units of machinery, project cargo and buses. Unloading operations commenced with the machinery and equipment before continuing with the remaining units.

Eastern Car Liner is recognised as a key niche player in the Pacific Rim for its flexibility in handling large tonnages and customised itineraries across specialised cargo segments.

The port of Lázaro Cárdenas offers the infrastructure and operational expertise aligned with ECL’s service requirements, strengthening the port’s position as a strategic logistics hub on the Mexican Pacific coast for vehicle and specialised cargo handling while expanding service options for importers and the national supply chain.
