ENGINE: Europe & Africa Bunker Fuel Availability Outlook (28 Oct 2026)
Prompt fuel availability remains tight in ARA; suppliers up to 12 hours late on deliveries in Algeciras; VLSFO and LSMGO availability tight in Dakar.
The following article regarding Europe and Africa bunker fuel availability has been provided by online marine fuel procurement platform ENGINE for post on Singapore bunkering publication Manifold Times:
Prompt fuel availability is tight in the ARA ports, and buyers are recommended lead times of 5-7 days to get good coverage from suppliers, a trader told ENGINE.
B100 demand has picked up in Rotterdam as the biofuel grade trades at a wide discount to LSMGO, the trader said. Rotterdam’s B100 price has fallen by around $182/mt in the past month, to $1,182/mt, according to ENGINE data. That puts it $265/mt below the port’s LSMGO price of $1,447/mt, and the gap has widened by $194/mt in a month.
The ARA’s independently held fuel oil stocks have averaged 7% higher in October so far than in September, according to Insights Global data. Stocks have risen 62% since May, when they hit their lowest level in more than a decade. But they are still 9% below February levels, before Israel and the US went to war with Iran.
