The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) marked the christening of Terra Clove at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Ulsan, South Korea, said the port authority on Thursday (22 October).

Following the naming ceremony, EPS said it intends to bunker green ammonia supplied by LOTTE Fine Chemical, Asia’s largest ammonia distributor, at its terminal in Ulsan.

Produced by Envision Energy, the green ammonia will be used to support Terra Clove’s ammonia-burning trials, translating the vessel’s dual-fuel capability into practical operating experience

Designed to transport ammonia as cargo and use it as propulsion fuel, Terra Clove incorporates specialised ammonia fuel handling, containment, and safety systems. The vessel is expected to be delivered in November 2026, following its upcoming sea trials.
