Flint Systems has commissioned a second virtual reality simulator at Szczecin Maritime University in Poland to boost practical port equipment training

Flint Systems has delivered and commissioned a Perun Experience virtual reality simulator at the Faculty of Transport Engineering and Economics of the Maritime University of Szczecin in Poland, expanding the institution’s practical training capabilities for future maritime and port industry professionals.

Completed in the second half of October 2026, the installation marks the university’s second purchase of a VR simulator manufactured by Flint Systems, following an earlier project with its Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The new simulator enables students to practise operating three types of port machinery: ship-to-shore cranes used to load and unload container vessels, rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes for moving and stacking containers, and mobile harbour cranes used in a range of cargo-handling operations.
