Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) reported a sharp increase in profit for the first half of fiscal year 2026, supported by improved earnings from Ocean Network Express (ONE).

Operating revenue reached JPY602 billion during the six months ending 30 September 2026. This was up 20.3% from JPY500.5 billion in the same period last year.

Operating income increased by 19.1% to JPY51.2 billion. Ordinary income nearly doubled to JPY118.3 billion, while net income attributable to the company’s owners rose by 81.5% to JPY124.5 billion.

K Line attributed the increase in ordinary income mainly to higher equity-method earnings from ONE. The company also recorded gains from the sale of owned vessels.
