An agreement for 75 trucks, a new Texas freight lane, and progress on safety validation move Kodiak closer to its planned driverless highway launch.
Kodiak AI has signed a binding agreement to equip 75 DTL Transport trucks with its autonomous driving system as the company prepares to launch commercial driverless highway service before the end of 2026.
The agreement caps a series of announcements about Kodiak’s customers, operations, and safety testing.
On October 30, Kodiak reported that its measure of progress toward completing its long-haul safety case had reached 99%, up from 96% at the end of September and up from 93% announced in early September.
