Menzies Aviation has introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within its MORSE Safety Management System (SMS), with the aim of improving the quality, accuracy and consistency of safety reporting and investigations.
MORSE is Menzies’ digital Safety Management System, bringing incident and hazard reporting, investigations and safety data together in one platform. Used across the company’s global operations, it provides teams with real-time visibility of safety and security risk.
In 2025, Menzies teams identified 46,950 hazards globally, a 29 percent increase on the previous year, reflecting the company’s focus on proactive reporting and risk management.
So far this year, more than 6,800 potential disruptions have been prevented due to hazard reporting, including the identification of an aircraft tyre defect in Romania before it could affect operations and the detection of undeclared dangerous goods in Uganda prior to loading.
