MI, Green Marine partner on methanol training and technical guidance
MI —The Global Methanol Alliance and Green Marine will collaborate to strengthen maritime methanol training, develop practical technical guidance, and support safe operations.
MI —The Global Methanol Alliance on Thursday (22 October) said it signed a collaboration agreement with Green Marine to strengthen maritime methanol training, develop practical technical guidance, and support safe operations as the global fleet of methanol-capable vessels continues to expand.
More than 150 methanol-capable vessels are already operating worldwide, with over 290 on order and bunkering infrastructure expanding across major ports.
As more vessels enter service, the focus is increasingly shifting to the practical requirements of operating safely, from crew training and fuel handling to bunkering procedures and emergency preparedness.
The partnership brings together MI’s global industry network, policy expertise and market knowledge with Green Marine’s hands-on experience in maritime engineering, operations and training. The aim is to bring industry knowledge and practical maritime experience together to support the people and organisations putting methanol to work at sea and in ports.
