India is developing Naukosh, a dedicated digital platform intended to connect the shipbuilding and ship repair ecosystem. Targeted to go live by the end of 2026, the portal will bring together businesses, regulators, financial institutions and training organisations, with planned access to industry information, investment opportunities and government support schemes.
The Naukosh shipbuilding portal is being developed to strengthen connections across India’s shipbuilding and ship repair industry, creating a common digital space for organisations involved in vessel construction, maintenance, equipment supply, financing and regulation.
The initiative aligns with Maritime India Vision 2030 and Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, which guide India’s longer-term maritime development ambitions.
Naukosh has been presented as India’s first comprehensive digital portal dedicated to the sector. Development remains underway, with the platform targeted for launch by the end of 2026.
